COUNTER usage file types
For E-Resources reports, the supported COUNTER usage file types that get loaded into Analytics and whose data is represented in the reports and data universe are:
- COUNTER 4 data
- JR1 COUNTER 4 - Successful full-text article requests by month and journal
- JR2 COUNTER 4 - Access denied to full-text articles by month, journal, and category
- BR1 COUNTER 4 - Successful title requests by month
- DB1 COUNTER 4 - Searches, result clicks, and record view by month and database

The E-Resources Data Last Refresh Date report displays when e-resources data was last refreshed. It provides information about the reports affected, how often the data is refreshed, and the date last refreshed. You can use this report to see when the e-resources data was last updated.

The COUNTER 4 Merged Database Usage Summary report provides a summary by month of your institution's C4DB1 COUNTER data. Summaries of usage by Vendor Name and COUNTER Database Name are provided for Regular Search Count, Federated Search Count, Record View Count, and Result Click Count.
Two detail reports can be launched through this report: COUNTER 4 Merged Database Usage Detail and COUNTER 4 Merged Vendor Usage Detail.

COUNTER 4 Merged E-Journal/E-book Usage Summary

The COUNTER 4 Merged E-Journal/E-book Usage Summary report provides a summary by month of your institution's C4BR1 and C4JR1 COUNTER data. Summaries of usage by Vendor Name are provided for HTML Access Count, HTML Mobile Access Count, PDF Access Count, PDF Mobile Access Count, PS Access Count, PS Mobile Access Count, and COUNTER Report Total (i.e., ft_total). The COUNTER 4 Merged E-Journal/E-book Usage Detail report can be launched from this report.
Access Denial Counts are no longer available in the report. At this time, reporting on JR2 data is only available to WorldShare Report Designer customers.

The COUNTER 5 Platform Usage Summary report provides a summary by month of your library's C5PR_P1 COUNTER data. Summaries of usage by COUNTER Item Platform are provided for Platform Searches, Total Item Requests, Unique Item Requests, and Unique Title Requests.
This report also provides two different visualizations for your use:
- Click the COUNTER 5 Platform Usage Trends tab to access a column chart that shows, by default, the Platform Searches for the various COUNTER Item Platforms by month for the time period you entered in the prompt.
- Click the COUNTER 5 Platform Usage Treemap tab to access a treemap that shows, by default, the aggregated total of Platform Searches for the various COUNTER platforms you have selected over the time period you entered in the prompt.
To change the view for either visualization, select a different view using the radio buttons under Input Controls > Selector. Options include:
- Platform Searches (default)
- Total Item Requests
- Unique Item Requests
- Unique Title Requests

WorldCat knowledge base reports
- A title's OCLC number is used as a match point in WorldCat knowledge base overlap reports. If titles in the knowledge base collections you are comparing do not have OCLC numbers, they will not be included in your overlap report.
- Custom collections are unavailable in the Collection Overlap Summary and Collection Overlap Detail reports. If you would like to compare your custom collections against another collection, use one of the following reports:

This report displays a summary of duplicate and unique titles/coverages when comparing an electronic collection to another electronic collection(s). It displays a bar chart that shows the base collection, comparison collection and overlap. It also provides a breakout of unique and overlapping titles based on the content type (electronic book, fulltext journal, abstracts journal, etc.).This report can be used to understand what is unique to an electronic collection and where it overlaps with other collections. This information is useful when making acquisition or retention decisions for electronic collections.
This report's data is updated monthly. The data will be updated by the fourth of the month. Data will be "as of" the end of the previous calendar month.
- In the Prompts window, you can:
- Enter a unique identifier for a discrete collection (Collection UID) in the text field and then press Enter or click >. Text entered in this field is case sensitive.
Or - Search for a Collection UID or Collection Name and select it from the list of results. Text entered in this field is not case sensitive.

Use this report to compare one of your library's selected collections to one or more Global collections or to one or more of your library's other selected collections.
A title's OCLC number is used as a match point in this report. If titles in the knowledge base collections you are comparing do not have OCLC numbers, they will not be included in your overlap report.

The Collection Type dimension defines the types of knowledge base (KB) collections as follows:

| Local Customized | A subset of the titles in the OCLC version of the collection as selected by your library. | |
| Private | A locally created collection. | |
| Shared | A collection that was created by a different institution and shared to your library. Only the titles selected by your institution are included. | |
WorldCat knowledge base - My Collection Overlap Detail Report

The WorldCat knowledge base - My Collection Overlap Detail Report displays a detailed list of titles in the overlap analysis. It displays the type of content and the coverage dates by content type for each title in the comparison collection and the library’s collections.
