Find information about compound objects and learn how to add a compound object in CONTENTdm.

Compound objects are two or more files bound together with an XML structure. If working with any related item sets, such as multiple pages for an article, a book, or a yearbook, ingest them as compound objects. Compared to a single item, a compound object is more complicated to create and edit when compared to a single item. 

Compound objects can be created one at a time in CONTENTdm Administration. Use the Project Client for more complex handling of compound objects, such as batch upload and editing.
