Enter date arrived

Discover how to enter the date arrived for serials or multi-part items and how to modify the date entered for an item in WorldShare Acquisitions.

You can enter the date arrived for serials or multi-part items before receiving them. This allows you to:

  • Track the amount of time between when an item arrives at your library and when it is added to your collection
  • Find the original Date Arrived for an item or items upon request by patron or staff requestor

Enter the date arrived for serials or multi-part items

  1. From the left navigation, click Receive and Invoice.
  2. Select a processing type from the Processing Type drop-down list.
  3. Select View All Items from the Action drop-down list.
  4. Click View Items.
  5. Select an existing invoice by populating the Vendor and Invoice Number fields.
    Or
    Click the Search Text form field and then press <Enter> to view all items.
  6. Click the gear button (Gear button) to display the Show Columns pop-up window.
  7. Select Date Arrived.
  8. Click the Set Date in the Date Arrived column.
  9. Locate the item you want to enter the date arrived for.
  10. From the Set Date Arrived dialog, enter the date arrived for the item.
     Note: You can enter the date arrived manually or by using the calendar button.
  11. Click Save. The Set Date link will be replaced with the date arrived you entered.

Modify the date arrived for a serial or multi-part

  1. From the left navigation, click Receive and Invoice.
  2. Select a Processing Type from the Processing Type drop-down list.
  3. Select Receive from the Action drop-down list.
  4. Click View Items.
  5. Click the Search Text form field and then press <Enter>
  6. Click the gear button (Gear button) to display the Show Columns pop-up window.
  7. Select Date Arrived to add the Date Arrived column and then click anywhere out of the pop-up window to close it.
  8. Click the Set Date in the Date Arrived column.
  9. From the Set Date Arrived dialog, update the date arrived for the item.
     Note: You can enter the date arrived manually or by using the calendar button.
  10. Click Save. The Set Date link will be replaced with the date arrived you entered.
