Create user subscription record

Learn how to create a register of subscription based services in OLIB.

The User Subscription Services domain in the Reference Data branch of the Menu is used to maintain the register of subscription-based services in OLIB.

  1. Go to Reference Data > User Subscription Services.
  2. Click New Record to create a new subscription service record.
  3. Some fields need explanation:
Field 說明
Key ID The field is populated with a system generated code.
Short Description Enter a short description for the service. For example, CA Service. You can enter up to 13 characters here.
Long Description Enter a long description for the service. For example, Current Awareness Service. You can enter up to 40 characters here.
Expiry/Renewal Enter the number of days of the default subscription duration. For example 365. When you add a subscription to this service, the subscription’s renewal date will be set to the current system date plus this many days. You can override this date before saving the new subscription record.
Cost Enter the default cost for a subscription to this service. For example, 10.00. When you add a subscription to this service, the subscription’s Cost field will default to this value.
Transmit Type This drop down should be used for bulletin-based services only. This field determines the method by which a bulletin is sent to the subscribers.
Bulletin The field is for bulletin-based services only.
  1. Save the record.

Once the service has been subscribed to, the Users field will list the users who have taken out a subscription to this service, either directly or through their parent organisations’ subscriptions. The list of organisations which have taken out a subscription to this service will be listed in the Organisations field.

Existing subscriptions can be edited by clicking the respective subscription record in either the User or Organisation field and selecting the View/edit subs. details option from the Actions box. This displays the Adding a new user sub.mccosubscription record details.
