Create a stanza parameter

Learn how to create a parameter for a stanza in OnePlace.

Some e-resources require information uniquely assigned to an institution by the publisher for access. Publishers can require a site ID or other information in the URL. EZproxy EZproxy configuration calls this type of information in a stanza a parameter. 

When a stanza is created in EZproxy EZproxy configuration, you may specify that a unique parameter is required.

To create a parameter in a stanza:

  1.  Select Stanza Maintenance from the left navigation.
  2. Click Create Institutional Stanza
  3. Create the stanza in the provided text field
    1. To declare a parameter in a stanza, use [brackets] to enclose a description.  Note: Brackets can be placed at any point in a stanza to declare a parameter and can be used multiple times in the same stanza if more than one unique value is needed.

Once a stanza has been submitted and approved, it becomes available to add to an EZproxy server.
