Access via EZproxy shows error 1015
Symptom
- Accessing a page through EZproxy results in an error message like this:
error code: 1015

- EZproxy hosted and standalone
Resolution
Error 1015 is a Cloudflare "Rate Limit" error.
This occurs because the resource providers security filters see a high volume of traffic coming from your single EZproxy IP address and identify it as a potential threat or bot activity.
Contact the resource provider and ask them to allowlist your EZproxy IP address.
This will exempt your proxy server from their automated rate-limiting rules.
