Manage IP Addresses

Learn how to manage IP address ranges and attributes for your OCLC products and services.

To access this screen, sign in to Service Configuration, open the IP Addresses left navigation, and select Manage IP Addresses.

Use this screen to manage IP address ranges and attributes for OCLC products and services to authenticate users within the designated range.

  • WorldCat.org and WorldCat Discovery use the IP address module to determine when to show fulfillment options to users within an institution's IP network.
  • WorldShare Interlibrary Loan institutions using third-party discovery systems use IP authentication to access the WorldShare ILL request form via OpenURL Resolver.

The owning institution ID and name associated with your authentication credentials are listed above the IP address table. The IP address table displays your institution's IP ranges, attribute types, and attribute values. The IP ranges in the IP address table are collapsed by default. Click Expand All if you'd like to view all attributes assigned to each range.
